                               RESOLUTION NO. 18799
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION RATIFYING, CONFIRMING AND
                   APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS
                   STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON TUESDAY,
                   OCTOBER 2, 1990 FOR THE PRESENTATION OF THE
                   "UTC HOMECOMING STRUT" UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP
                   OF THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE AT
                   CHATTANOOGA.
                  
                  
                                                      
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby ratified,
       confirmed and approved the temporary closing of the westbound
       north curb lane of McCallie Avenue between Baldwin Street and
       Houston Street, the two westbound north curblanes of McCallie
       Avenue between Houston Street and Georgia Avenue, the southbound
       west curb lane of Georgia Avenue between McCallie Avenue and M. 
L.
       King Boulevard, and the westbound north curb lane of M. L. King
       Boulevard between Georgia Avenue and Miller Plaza on Tuesday,
       October 2, 1990 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the 
presentation
       of the "UTC Homecoming Strut" under the sponsorship of the
       University of Tennessee at Chattanooga provided that the sponsors 

       shall have set out and picked up all flasher barricades, traffic
       cones, and traffic signs in accordance with the traffic control
       plan attached hereto and shall have provided, at all times, an
       access lane for fire and other emergency vehicles.
